RocketPort Surge Interface
The RocketPort Surge Interface is designed to work with the RocketPort and
RocketPort PCI 8, 16 and 32 port controllers. The function of the Surge
Interface is similar to the standard interface with the following added
features:
- 25 KV ESD protection The industry standard
is anywhere from 6 KV to 15 KV. This added protection allows more protection
against damage from static discharge and near miss lightning strikes.
- RS-232/422 switch selectable ports Allows
versatility and easy configuration of port to match diverse installations.
- Biased termination of the RS-422 option
Provides reduced input sensitivity to noise.
- 25-pin male connectors This provides
connectors that conform more closely to the industry standard for PC serial
connections.
